Community Midwives

The midwives work in the practice caring for women throughout their pregnancies together with the doctors. They look after women during labour in the John Radcliffe Hospital or at home and in the early days after delivery. If you have a history of problems in pregnancy or labour care may be shared with the hospital team.

 

Community Nurses

The nurses provide nursing care and support to housebound patients and carers in their own home. They offer a broad nursing service specialising in areas of palliative care, wound care and management of continence.

The daytime service is available between 08:00 and 16:30.

If you require a nurse outside surgery hours please phone the usual number and follow the directions left for patients on the answer machine.

 

Health Visitors

Health visitors are qualified nurses with special training in child health, health promotion and education. They work predominantly with children and families.

Routine immunisations are given by appointment only at our immunisation clinic Friday 14:00 - 2013 16:30.
