Practice Nurse Appointments (Tel: 01865 762535)

Practice nurses are trained to deal with a wide range of problems including wound care, family planning, health education and smoking cessation, travel immunisations and cervical smears. Individual nurses can provide more specialised advice and follow up for diabetes, asthma and high blood pressure.

All the nurses are fully trained to help you stop smoking.

Perdy van den Berg RGN, BA(Hons) is an Independent Nurse Prescriber and has diplomas in Chronic Disease Management, Diabetes Care, Insulin Conversion and Management and Primary and Secondary Prevention in Coronary Heart Disease. Perdy also has a recognised teaching qualification and certificates in Family Planning, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Sexually Transmitted Infections

Louise Gray RGN is an experienced Practice Nurse with a background in Accident and Emergency and District Nursing. She has a special interest in Asthma and COPD management.
 
Healthcare Assistant (Tel: 01865 762535)

Lisa Ponting is a skilled Health Care Assistant (HCA) who is is fully trained to take blood samples, blood pressure measurements and other tasks to assist the doctors and practice nurses. She runs regular clinics which can be booked at reception.
